Homotoxicology

Homotoxicology understands illness as being the
human body's defense against toxic substances.

 There is much use in the elite sports arena for homotoxicology, as there are no drug residues, and the results have been shown to be at least as good as those from the use of pharmaceuticals.

Symptoms that can be treated include:

    • digestive disturbances;
    • arteriosclerosis, arthrosis (hip joints, knee, small joints), bursitis, glandular swelling, joint effusions, multiple sclerosis, periarthritis, polyarthrosis, rheumatic joint disorders, spondylarthrosis;
    • cardiac disorders, cardiac insufficiency, cardiac pain, coronary circulatory disorders, senile heart;
    • common colds, hay fever, influenza, lymphatic disorders, other feverish infections, rhinitis, sinusitis, tonsilitis, upper respiratory infections;
    • contusions, dislocations, injuries, sports injuries, sprains, tennis elbow, oedema,
      inflammatory and degenerative processes of the musculoskeletal system;
    • deficiency of memory, depression, exhaustion, nervous complaints, neuralgia vertigo, restlessness;
    • spasms (gall bladder), spasms (intestinal), spasms (stomach), spasms (urinary tract), tendovaginitis.

Supporting: organ function, detoxification, drainage and the immune response.

General administration forms are ampoules, tablets, drops, nasal sprays, suppositories, and ointments.

Description of Homotoxicology

The German physician Dr. Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg formulated Homotoxicology in 1952. This concept was developed from homoeopathy for the purpose of providing a holistic perspective on the synthesis of medical science.

"According to Homotoxicology, all of those processes, syndromes and manifestations that we designate as diseases are the expression that the body is combating poisons and that it wants to neutralise and excrete those poisons. The body either wins or loses the fight. Those processes, which we designate as diseases, are always biological which serve poison defence and detoxification."

Homotoxins are all of those substances (chemical/biochemical) and non-material influences (physical/psychical) which can cause ill health in humans. Their appearance results in regulation disorders in the organism. Every illness, therefore, is due to the effects of homotoxins. Homotoxins can be introduced from the exterior (exogenic homotoxins) or originate in the body itself (endogenic homotoxins).

Homotoxicosis is a non-physiological condition which arises after reaction of a homotoxin on cells and tissues. Homotoxicosis occurs as a cellular appearance and can be followed by morphological changes in tissues. The homotoxicosis is named after the homotoxin that triggers it. The homotoxicosis leads to defensive measures of the organism whose goal is to eliminate the homotoxins and to restore the physiological conditions when possible.

The practice of homotoxicology is to introduce an anti-homotoxic preparation with the aim of stimulating the defensive system of the body to remove the homotoxicosis (diseased tissue, toxin), thereby allowing the body to return to normal function.
Homotoxicology works on both acute and chronic conditions. As with other medical treatments, the process of treatment for a chronic condition will be different and of longer duration than for an acute condition.

Anti-homotoxic preparations may be a single remedy, but with multiple potency's, or multiple remedies in single or multiple potencies.
They may be in the form of: tablet, liquid, nasal spray or ointment.
There are no side effects from anti-homotoxins as they are in homoeopathic potencies. There may, however, be a temporary increase in symptoms as the body removes the homotoxin from its tissues.

Antihomotoxic principles of diagnosis and therapy

    • Diagnosis considers antihomotoxic perspectives (stage of toxin loading, probability of vicariation).
    • Treatment protocol derives from empirical homotoxicological practices, especially:
      • Avoiding additional exposure to toxins such as tobacco smoke, household toxins, and food additives.
      • The use of disease-specific antihomotoxic medicines (for example, Zeel for arthritis or Vertigoheel for dizziness.)
      • Supplementary antihomotoxic measures that deblock enzyme systems, activate metabolism, etc.
    • The medications used in antihomotoxic therapy reflect the empirical laws of homotoxicology, specifically the progression of illness through six phases and the vicariation phenomenon.

      Antihomotoxic medicines («modern homeopathy»)
      The homeopathic combination medications (Heel products) developed by Reckeweg on the basis of homotoxicology were designed to restore health by eliminating homotoxins. Reckeweg dubbed them antihomotoxic medicines, but they are now also known colloquially as modern homeopathic medications. Recent research on the intercellular matrix has already confirmed important aspects of Reckeweg’s hypothesis. The almost revolutionary results of studies of antihomotoxic medicines substantiate Reckeweg’s entire approach to therapy.

      What they do:
      Detoxification (flushing toxins out of the matrix of connective tissue in which cells and organs are embedded);
      Improving the functioning of individual organs;
      Strengthening the immune system.
      Are they effective?
      Many scientific studies have confirmed that antihomotoxic medicines achieve the desired therapeutic improvement and are as effective as standard allopathic treatments.
